Since the creation of the world, there have been things that the Lord has forbidden us, but we, humans, have disobeyed. Yet, this shows that He is love, because despite our faults, He has always forgiven us — for small as well as big things.
But that does not mean we can do whatever we want. At a certain time, God sent His own Son to free us from our sins, because we are sinners.
To prove that He loves us, He does not hold His anger against us:
“He does not contend forever, nor does He keep His anger to eternity.”
— Psalm 103:9
This verse shows us that God’s forgiveness is great.
However, there are things that cannot be forgiven: those that go against the Spirit.
“Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.”
— Matthew 12:31-32
So, let us strengthen ourselves and purify ourselves at each awakening, at each breath of our life.
Let us learn from it and purify our hearts.
