Persevere to regain freedom and peace

Hello everyone

Have you ever been in a relationship that was destroying you, but you couldn’t leave? :broken_heart:

I have… 6 years ago, I was fragile, innocent… The weight of my parents’ absence since my childhood was heavy on me, and I would quickly grow attached to those who gave me a little attention. I didn’t really know what loving meant…

And then I fell in love. Not with someone who was meant for me, but with a person who hurt me: criticism, belittling, violence… and yet, I stayed.

Then one day, I met Jesus. :folded_hands: At first, I sought Him because someone had advised me to pray and to seek Him with all my heart. And I found Him.

He helped me escape from that relationship that was killing me. A toxic relationship where I was put down, hit, and the next day they would come apologize with flowers as if nothing had happened. Jesus supported me, and it wasn’t easy.

I had to persevere. The temptation, the mental, physical, and emotional dependence… it was hard. But I held on. Little by little, I found my freedom again, my peace, and my worth. :herb::sparkles:

Today, I know that perseverance is the key. Even when everything seems lost, continuing to move forward, to fight for yourself, and to seek the light turns pain into strength and opens the way to true freedom. :flexed_biceps:

“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13 :sparkles:

:musical_note: I recently discovered the song Perseverance by JesusBYS, and it resonates so much with my journey.

Every time I listen to it, it gives me courage and strength to keep going. If you want to find inspiration too, it’s available on Spotify and as a free download on the site :backhand_index_pointing_right: jesusbys.org

Jesus’ love is enough for us. We don’t need people’s love to feel joy. We only need Jesus. The rest is going to come after. Just as said in Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Thank you for sharing your story. :sparkles:
