Finding Comfort in Jesus and Each Other

Hey guys,

I wanna share something that’s really hit me lately about faith, weakness, and being there for each other.

There’s this verse I keep coming back to:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) :sparkles:

I always knew it, but I didn’t really feel it… until recently. I went through a rough patch, lots of doubts, fear, just feeling weak :broken_heart:. And one day, I just said to Jesus, “I don’t know what to do, but I trust You.” And somehow… peace hit me. Like a kid curling up in his dad’s arms, completely safe, completely known .

It made me think about another verse: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4) :raising_hands:

Being vulnerable is scary. But here’s the thing: I realized that the comfort I get from God isn’t just for me. It’s meant to flow through me to others. I had a friend going through a tough time too, and I didn’t have to fix anything. I just sat, listened, and prayed quietly with them :hourglass_not_done:. And I saw it, God’s comfort moving through me.

That’s exactly what 2 Corinthians 1:4 is talking about: “He comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” :latin_cross:

Being present isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about showing up. Listening. Sharing Jesus’s love in small ways. Sometimes that’s all someone needs. And honestly? It changes you too. Seeing someone get comforted, even just by your presence, makes you feel how powerful God’s love really is :sparkling_heart:.

So here’s what I wanna leave you with :herb::

  • Bring your doubts, fears, and sadness to God, He’s got you.
  • Be there for someone else in their struggle, you could be the channel of His comfort.

:fire: Quick question for you all to reflect on:

  • When was a moment you felt God’s comfort the most in your weakness?

  • How have you been able to just be there for someone hurting?
