Hello everyone, ![]()
As a young Christian who stands among many other Christians, I want to share something I’ve noticed among a lot of us: We often put Jesus in a box. ![]()
An example of that: We often talk about His love and compassion (and yes, those are true) but we sometimes forget He is also a God of justice. He even disciplines and punishes when needed. Some people think Jesus would never act strongly (He would never do this, He would never do that), but when He says to be still, it means He is the one who fights for us. ![]()
Romans 12:19
“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.”
Remember when Jesus chased the vendors from the temple? He protects what is His and His Father’s. Let’s not put our God in a box, guys. Just as we are complex beings made in His image, He is too deep and rich for us to fully understand or label. ![]()
Isaiah 55:8–9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Jesus is loving, gentle, and forgiving, but He is also just, strong, and even jealous of what is His.
Exodus 34:14
“For you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.”
A little advice: don’t put God in a box. His actions are always good, and there’s always more to discover about Him. Keep learning, keep growing, and stay open-minded. So, let’s always try to get to know Him more and more, because that’s part of the walk with Him. ![]()
A little personal reflection to have: Do I limit God in my mind? Do I take one thing He said about Himself and stick to that without trying to know more? Do I thirst to grow on this journey, or am I satisfied with where I stand? ![]()
