I ask Him a flower, He gives me a garden

Hello :sun:

What if we made trust the topic of the day? :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

God overflows with surprises in His actions. He always goes beyond our expectations and prayers. I am sure we all understand today the value of patience and trust in Him. :sun_with_face:

But why does God always give us more?

  • Out of love? yes :heart_exclamation:

  • Because He is the best positioned to know what we truly need? yes :rainbow:

  • And above all, because He trusts us, He wants to see us grow and keep us in faith :folded_hands:

He gives me a whole garden instead of a flower because He fully trusts me and wants to see me learn. With a flower, I can very quickly forget it. To maintain a garden, I must educate myself and pray to God to help me. :person_running::magnifying_glass_tilted_left::open_book: :folded_hands:

Therefore, after receiving much more than we hoped for, being grateful is not enough. We must strengthen our faith and persevere even more in prayer because this reward from God is not an end in itself. It is a tool to keep us in faith and grow constantly until the day we rest near Him. :person_kneeling:

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”

Wishing everyone a very good week! :waving_hand:

A reward is not an end; instead of just being grateful, strengthening our faith and persevering is the thing to do. I really love how you put this, it’s a perfect way to describe that our path doesn’t end with the blessings. Which is why He gives us a garden, not a flower. Thank you so much for sharing! :sparkling_heart:

Hello @Abi, I hope you’re doing well

Yes, you’re right, being grateful is already a very big step on our spiritual journey, but it’s not enough.

Every blessing that God grants us is an invitation to grow further in faith and to remain persistent in prayer. :sparkling_heart: May we always keep our eyes fixed on Him and walk each day in His grace until eternal rest with Him. :sparkles:
