Making Jesus our anchor and friend

Hello guys, :cherry_blossom:

Today I want to talk about something I believe we truly need to discuss: how to make Jesus our anchor and our friend. :sparkles:

Many Christians today are caught up in traditional thinking and religious routines, often missing the deeper truth that you can actually talk to Jesus personally. :herb:

:hibiscus: There’s nothing wrong with being formal with Him or keeping up religious practices, of course, (these are important), but what truly matters is that your heart is set on Him and your prayers are more than just habits. :dizzy:
Here’s the thing: you can also be comfortable with Him, talking to Him as a confidant and a friend. He can be your anchor through life’s trials and storms. :sparkling_heart:

Many people who have experienced “religious trauma” see Christians as hypocrites because so often we prioritize tradition over relationship, appearance over being, and form over content.

So when you’re going through a tough time, know that it’s okay to come to Him, cry out, and rest in His arms. Share your burdens with Him; He’s always there, ready to listen, comfort, and strengthen you.

:balloon: A little advice: Take a few minutes each day to simply talk to Jesus like you would with a trusted friend. Don’t worry about the right words, just be honest and open with your heart.

:balloon: A personal reflection I’d like to share: I’ve learned that some of my heaviest moments became lighter just by telling Jesus what was really in my heart. His peace isn’t something you earn; it’s something you receive when you let Him in.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

That’s true, you’re completely right, my sister. Talking to Jesus brings us deep peace. For me, Jesus is my best friend. I talk to Him like I would to a friend, and I can tell you that it makes all the difference. You really feel at peace, you feel that He is listening to us. I love confiding in Jesus. :slightly_smiling_face:
