Hello everyone,
Today, I would like to talk about a story that I recently reflected on and read. A beautiful story.
In Genesis 29–30, we read about Leah, Jacob’s first wife. Her story is both heartbreaking and deeply encouraging 
. Leah was given to Jacob in marriage through Laban’s deception, and unlike her sister Rachel, she was not loved 
. Much of her life was marked by rejection, loneliness 
, and the longing for her husband’s affection.
When Leah longed for Jacob’s love, God saw her pain 
, but He did not give her His love by forcing Jacob to love her 
. This is a proof of God’s righteousness 
, He is a God who sees the whole picture and who gives free will. He didn’t make Jacob suffer for her sake, but in His goodness 
, He gave her what she truly needed instead 
.
God opened her womb and gave her children 
, while Rachel remained barren for a time. With each child, Leah hoped her husband’s heart would turn toward her 
. She named her sons with that longing:
Reuben : “Because the Lord has looked upon my affliction; surely now my husband will love me.”
Simeon : “Because the Lord has heard that I am hated.”
Levi : “Now this time my husband will be attached to me.”
It was with her fourth son, Judah, that something shifted.
Leah declared, “This time I will praise the Lord.” (Genesis 29:35)

Once she decided to lift her eyes to God, He raised her up and gave her what she needed. This shows that we might not always receive what we want , but God sees our pain and provides what is truly necessary .
From Judah’s line came King David 
and ultimately Jesus Christ 
, the Savior of the world 
. Out of Leah’s rejection, God brought redemption for all 
.
Leah’s story reminds us: even when we feel unseen or unloved by people , God sees us , values us 
, and can bring His greatest purposes through our brokenness 
.
