Mengapa Yesus mengizinkan penderitaan dan kematian?

Hello guys, :sparkling_heart:

Sometimes, we all have questions about God, faith, or life as Christians that we hesitate to ask.:sparkles:

Here’s a very common one we’ve all wondered about: Why does Jesus allow suffering if He loves us?

I’ll try to share my thoughts on the matter.:smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Suffering is one of the hardest realities of life. Jesus allows it not because He doesn’t care, but because our world is broken by sin.

Romans 8:28 reminds us:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.”

:balloon: Why doesn’t He just save people immediately?

Jesus always saves, but His timing and ways are different from ours, and most of all, they are perfect. Sometimes we may not see it yet, but that is the truth. Even when it seems He hasn’t acted, He is always working for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).:innocent:

There is also this little thing called free will. Everyone has it, and unfortunately, some choose to do wrong. For example, if a killer were forced by God to stop, it wouldn’t be free will anymore; it would make God a tyrant who forces rather than a loving God who gives choice.

We don’t always understand His ways, but His plans are always good.

:balloon: Suffering and Death

Some people fear death, thinking it’s the worst thing that can happen. But for Christians, death is not the end; it’s the greatest salvation. In the Bible, those who died trusted God and weren’t afraid; they were at peace.:dizzy:

 Bad things happen because of free will. God gave us free will because He loves us and wants us to choose Him back. Imagine a man loves a woman: would he force her to love him? Love cannot be forced; it must be chosen.

From the beginning, Adam and Eve chose to sin. Death entered the world because of that choice. Can we blame the Creator for what His creatures choose to do? :purple_heart:

Think of it like this: if a car made by Ford causes an accident, do we blame the inventor, or the circumstances?

It’s okay to feel frustrated or sad about suffering and death. We don’t always understand why bad things happen, but God’s perspective is bigger than ours.:sunflower:

Isaiah 55:8-9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.

:herb: As I said, God created humans with free will. Unfortunately, that means people can choose sin, and the world is broken because of it. But God also gives hope and restoration:

John 16:33
“In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

:balloon: Personal Reflection

As for me, I’ll always choose Him, always. Why? Because of what He has done for me, not just on the cross, but also in my personal life. I don’t always understand everything, but I trust Him because He saved me personally.

When I felt like I had lost everything, He was there. Instead of focusing on the brokenness of the world, I choose to look at what He’s done for me. Faith is personal, and through that relationship, I know I can trust Him with the rest, with life, death, the world, everything.:hibiscus:

:balloon: Another answer to think about : He allows suffering to come to His people to strenghten them. Faith is proven through the trials.

:balloon:A little advice: In doubt, pray and ask Him. He will not be offended; He will answer at the right time. :folded_hands::sparkles:

Sangat menyentuh :face_holding_back_tears: terima kasih banyak @Keren

Terkadang, pilihan kita menyebabkan penderitaan. Sayangnya, banyak dari kita memilih kejahatan. Mengapa?
